Carbondale Arts & The 5Point Film Festival will co-host the exhibition “The Mountains Are Calling” featuring work by artists Kelsey Brasseur, Amy Martin, Kelly Peters, Sarah Uhl, Carl Zoch, and possibly Jeremy Collins. This body of work is an invitation from our public lands. It is a call from home, a beckoning to return to the places that have defined us and our relationship to the land. It is a provocative love letter from the lands that have captured us as well as a celebration of what lies beyond the daily landscape of our lives and what we unavoidably can not live without. The opening reception takes place as one of many inspiring events during 5Point’s 10th Adventure Film Festival in Carbondale which includes screenings of adventure films created by dozens of filmmakers and athletes from around the world as well as other activities. The 5Point Exhibition will be on display at Carbondale Arts’ R2 Gallery at The Launchpad from 9a.m. to 5p.m. on weekdays and from 10a.m. to 2p.m. on Saturdays until Apr. 28.
