Going Local at the Food & Wine Classic
Yesterday was a day spent at the Food & Wine Classic mixing and mingling at all of the local parties, beginning with the Paragon Technologies/Spice it Up Susie event where guests enjoyed an incredible array of food created by Susie and Scott Leysath, The Sporting Chef. The menu included; Wild Boar Tacos, Rattlesnake Sausage, Rabbit, Opah and Tuna Sushi, Smoked Salmon, Grilled Shrimp, Elk, Shredded Mule Deer Tartlets, Crystal River Meats Sliders, Quail, complimented with Michael David Wines and cocktails made by Woody Creek Distillers and Tito’s.
After Susie’s we headed up to a Douglas Elliman party located in a beautiful home on East Durant where we enjoyed tequila flights and good conversation, and then we finished off the evening at the Aspen Luxury Life Magazine Tiki Pop-Up party presented by Cochon National Tour and Breckenridge Distillery at Aspen Kitchen/Rickhouse Social. All we need to say is that Aspen Luxury Life throws an awesome party. We had a wee bit more tequila at the open bar and did the Limbo in between feasting on yet another incredible spread which included a ceremonious carving of a whole pig, smoked salmon with caviar, and orgasmic chocolate truffles (we agreed to not linger too long popping those bon bons lest we get ourselves in to trouble).
Today we head up to Heritage Fire in Snowmass for more Food & Wine. Stay Tuned and be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so you get the behind the scenes.
