Remote Mac Service: The MacSpa
Living in the mountains it costs a fortune to get Mac experts to work on your computers and so with diligence I found The MacSpa, an independent Apple-specific shop in LoDo in Denver who had me install a remote controlled maintenance program into my ancient computer so that they could run daily diagnostics on it and keep it chugging.
While in the midst of packing up our house to move up to Aspen this past June I received a call from one of The MacSpa’s computer technicians, Steve Ohlfest, who warned me that my ancient iMac desktop computer (that I am still using) was failing. Steve encouraged me to back everything up lest my nine years of content and pictures disappeared forever. Why does this type of thing always happen during a life changing stressful moment in one’s life?
With 30 years of combined technical and creative experience including but not limited to computer training, software training, consultation, hardware and software repair, and graphic design, The MacSpa, a boutique agency specializing in on-site Apple tech support for your Mac®, iPhone® or iPad®, has a team of trained and experienced professionals who are dedicated to giving outstanding service with quick turnarounds.
Pretty quickly Steve, The Macspa Owner, Amy McKnight, became my mentors, guiding me on what equipment to purchase to meet my blogging needs, and how to keep my computer purring. Having Steve and Amy remotely maintaining my computers has given me great comfort in knowing that I am not alone in this technology driven world that I am deeply immersed in. In fact, I appreciated their work so much that I drove to Denver to meet with them in person and get trained on my new equipment.
The MacSpa office is located across from Union Station, between the Wynkoop Brewery and The Parlour salon, but the good news is that is doesn’t matter where they are located because if LoDo, Denver is not convenient for you, they can work on your equipment remotely! Don’t you just love the technology industry?!
